Klipdrift "Rugby" Stings

Silver Bullet Production's Wayne de Lange DOP'ed these quirky, yet charming and elegant TV Stings for Etienne de villiers at Passing Trains. Produced by Phil Bresler of Passing Trains, the 7 x 10' stings were shot on Canon 5D II and Canon 7D. Silver Bullet Productions also handled all the Post on the job.

Polo GTI Date Drive

Cape Town Fashion Week 2011

Silver Bullet has been working on Fashion Weeks in South Africa for many years, so we were happy to join the African Fashion International team once again for the Cape Town Fashion Week 2011.

The set included 4 large HD screens, for which we had to produce and manage all the designer AV's, Live to Screen cameras, Online and other social media videos and also press material.

Xcel Pro Showdown at Supertubes 2011

The Xcel Pro Showdown at Supertubes is over for 2011, and it was Shaun Payne who overcame his
 older brother Ryan in the final, in the process ending his sibling’s hopes of claiming a hat-trick of titles 
in the event.

Squaring off in the final, Shaun managed to find the higher scores in the dying swell to snatch victory 
and the first prize of R10 000 cash, a styling PU 51-30 Nixon watch and perhaps most importantly, a
 coveted slot into the Von Zipper Superheat – which affords the winner a wildcard into the Billabong Pro J-Bay Dream Tour event scheduled for next month.

Cape Town Jazz Fest 2011

We've just completed our 4th consecutive year of working at the Cape Town Jazz Festival. Every year the festival gets bigger and better. This year Silver Bullet Productions managed all the content coming from the OB vans, including information titles, artist programme, sponsor ads and ticker tape information for all the screens and public displays around the Cape Town International Convention Center.

World Trade Center launch event

Our video and photographer crews covered this special VIP event held at the Crystal Towers Hotel on Friday 1 Arpil 2011. The video and photos from the event were for media, print and online purposes.

World Trade Center - Cape Town AV

The World Trade Center launched their Cape Town branch along with their Executive Club on Friday the 1st of April 2011 at the Crystal Towers in Century City. Silver Bullet Productions produced a 90sec AV and took all the photographs for all the screens at the event and online media. You can see some of the shots from the AV in the video below.

Woolworths Colour "Backstage" AV

In November 2010, Woolworths Winter Media Day launched the Woolworths Winter Fashion Show which included the Woolworths Colour "Backstage" av.

The av provided the audience of the fashion show with a semblance of what happens behind the scenes before the fashion show.. Silver Bullet Productions created an intimate, voyeuristic video that showcase the natural sexiness and glamour of Woolworths' in-house make-up brand called 'Colour'. The style of the av accentuated the bold make-up, captivating metallic eyes, perfect purple nails and luscious red lips. Every aspect of the av displayed how glamour can be intimate, fun, natural, sexy and simply beautiful.

Business Live "Boxer" TV Commercial

A boxer’s self discipline, training and preparation was used to convey new brand, Business Live’s message, sewing together an analogy between the dexterity, heart and mind of a boxer and the world of heavy weight business news.

Sector 9 "Push dont Pollute" Commercial

It always amazes me how sentimental we seem to become over things that serve absolutely no purpose in our lives. Faced with the prospect of deciding to dispose of them, suddenly we can't imagine our lives without them. "Sentimental property" by its very nature, it seems, only ever applies to things that have long since given up the ghost, in terms of practical application.

I'm speaking in particular of the Athlone Cooling Towers, those large concrete eyesores on the N2: useless and outdated monuments to coal power. Mention that they're coming down, and people act as though it's 9/11 all over again.

Several days before they were scheduled to be demolished, I was discussing the hype with some mates of mine when one of them, a skater, mentioned he'd always wished he'd skated inside one of the towers. Until now, it had never really occurred to me what the inside of the towers actually looked like, but a giant skate park was not exactly what first came to mind. Nonetheless, it gave me an idea - a couple of guys skating in a giant indoor arena, call it a day and skate over to a nearby bridge where they watch the towers, in which  they had been skating only minutes before, come crashing to the ground.

Nominations have been rolling in for the "Goodbye Citi" campaign at this years Loerie Awards taking place this weekend. Silver Bullet Productions has received 5 award finalists for this year. The Loeries is the biggest advertising, communications, design and experiential media awards in Africa. The categories include Digital - Viral, Alternative Media and Field Marketing, Live Events, Mixed-Media Campaigns, and Through The Line Communications

Goodbye Citi shortlisted for a Cannes Lions 2010 Award

Silver Bullet Productions, in association with Egg Films and Ogilvy South Africa, was recently shortlisted for a Cannes Lion for their work on the successful  'Goodbye Citi' campaign.

As millions of South Africans will no doubt remember, the day that Volkswagen first announced they were discontinuing the Citi Golf, after nearly 25 years of production, it marked a milestone in our country's history. For more than two decades, the Citi has served as the car of the people, and still remains, to this day, the best selling car in our country's history. It's a South African icon, with an undeniable place in our cultural history. The jingle alone had the nation humming, "Red, yellow, blue", well into the nineties.

Mzanzi United Final Episode

In an effort to mark the final Football Friday of the 2010 World Cup, the Adidas' Unite Mzansi Unite campaign delivered a giant Bafana team jersey signed by thousands of South Africans, to the Green Point Stadium. The jersey traveled across the country, visiting more than 300 towns and villages along the way,  during the World Cup, collecting signatures from Bafana fans of all walks of life, including the President.

Africa Fashion Week 2010

The highlight of the Joburg social calendar, Africa Fashion Week 2010 featured some of Africa's most awarded designers such as David Tlale, Kluk CGDT, Errol Arendz and Marianne Fassler. The four day fashion fashion extravaganza offers designers from South Africa and the rest of Africa a platform to showcase their designs. The event was shot by Silver Bullet Productions, and edited to form a 17 show spectacular.

Xcel Showdown at Supertubes 2010

Every year Silver Bullet Productions covers this speciality surfing event held in Jeffreys Bay. This year we waited for one day of perfect waves during the month of May. The Silver Bullet Productions crew was responsible for the New Media highlight videos uploaded to various websites and blogs after each and every heat.

Kustom Airstrike 2010 - Durban, South Africa

Kustom is again on its global mission to find surfers that will revolutionize the world of surfing. The Kustom Airstrike is a single-trick surfing contest that started on January 1st 2010, and will span for eight months to drown the most radical surfer with the craziest air, in a grand prize of $50,000.

Surfers qualify for the $50,000 by submitting a video clip of their best aerial maneuver to the Kustom Air Strike website (www.kustomairstrike.com). Filming the surfers as they skillfully attempt their best aerial maneuvers was a daunting and challenging task that Silver Bullet Productions (SBP) signed up for.

Dale Staples clinches Billabong Pro Junior title on Dolphin Coast

With an ever increasing online audience, Billabong is leading the way when it comes to hot off the press updates, utilising online platforms such as Billabong.com, Youtube, Facebook, etc. Silver Bullet Productions has been appointed as the official production facility to cover these events - producing an event highlight clip to be made available immediately after the event.

This is Silver Bullet Production’s 4^th year in charge of managing simultaneous live feeds from multiple stages and broadcasting all AV material, live feeds and event information to the 32 000 strong crowd.

Moirs "Gobble the Wobble" TV Commercial

In December 2009 Silver Bullet Productions embarked on an interesting and fun project with the guys from Herdbuoys. The campaign was for the Bokomo product - Moir's jelly. It was aptly named  'Gobble the Wobble'  and as befits the name, the point of the Ad was to showcase a selection of folk, old and young, eating jelly while undergoing a severe case of the wobbles. We built a rig to wobble them while they tried to spoon jelly into their mouths.

Billabong Girls Get Out There TV Series

In December 2009 Billabong and Silver Bullet Productions put a new spin on the popular Billabong Girls Get Out There Summer Tour, capturing their road trip as a 6 part TV series. 5 Brand Ambassadors plucked from hundreds of applicants join 3 pro riders for the 19 day tour from Balito Bay to Cape Town in this coming of age documentary.

This PSA was produced for the Desmond Tutu HIV Foundation in mid 2009. Everything, from conception to the animations and online was done in-house at Silver Bullet Productions, except for the music composition.
